BACKGROUND
The ALTA Tug100 Tugboat is a 17 m azimuth stern drive vessel designed for powerful and precise towing operations. Featuring engageable tractor-style propulsion, it delivers exceptional maneuverability when handling barges and heavy loads. Powered by two large marine GTC engines, the Tug100 can reach speeds of up to 30 knots, balancing strength with mobility. The rear deck is equipped with a heavy-duty towing winch, a RAT crane, and two UniCon cargo slots for added utility, while the bow is reinforced for secure barge attachment. Its modern wheelhouse provides advanced control and visibility, with a crew living area below that includes two bunkrooms and an infirmary. Built for versatility and reliability, the Tug100 is a capable workhorse for demanding marine operations.
