Discoverer-1 is a small exploration vessel measuring 28.5 meters in length.
Features:
- Intercom: connects all floors with the cockpit. The captain can choose which level to call.
- Cruise control: set the throttle, engage it, and relax.
- Autopilot: based on the Leafnav controller, it controls the ship's course.
- Video surveillance system: cameras are located in various rooms, and images are displayed on monitors in the cockpit.
- Independent generator: a separate small engine with a "fire and forget" system. It is powered by the main fuel tank, but consumes little fuel and is suitable for charging the batteries if their charge level is around 2 units.
- Fuel consumption monitoring system: based on the CURC.
- Heating system: monitors the temperature in the habitable compartments.
- Dual-plane stabilizer: based on a gyroscope and PID controller. Activated in the cockpit.
- Weather Log System: that system warns of hazardous weather. It is possible to disable the audible alert.
Ignition process:
- Check Engine Power Switch in Engine Room.
- Activate 4 flip switches in cockpit: Fuel Pumps, Cooling Pumps, Ignition and Monitors Switch.
