S.S. American Star

This was a small project to make a replica of the S.S. America. The S.S. America was launched on August 31, 1939 at Newport News Shipyard. She ran cruises in the Caribbean before she was taken by the US Navy in 1940 to be converted to a troop transport. She sailed the Atlantic bringing troops to fight in Europe. After the war United States Lines reclaimed her and put her to service as a passenger ship. America was sold to the Greek Chandris Lines in 1964, she was renamed Australis. She was in service from Southampton to Australia until 1978 when she was bought by Venture Cruise Lines. She was sold after one failed voyage. Chandris Lines bought her again and renamed her Italis. She continued service as a passenger ship until 1980. She then swapped owners quite a few times before finally being named American Star in 1993. She ran aground during a storm in 1994 and her wreck has deteriorated completely. INFINITE ELECTRICITY REQUIRED The Sinking feature does not work currently DO NOT RE-UPLOAD
