Overview
Despicable 2 Core is the foundation of Despicable 2's features.
It is a character and interaction framework for RimWorld that adds manual social interactions, facial animations, Despicable face-part visuals, a Hero / Karma / Reputation system, and an advanced multi-pawn animation framework.
It also serves as the base for our official NSFW expansion.
We made this project community-friendly and addon-friendly so other modders can build on it too. Learn more on our Discord server[discord.gg] and explore the source code on GitHub[github.com].

Detailed Features
Manual Social Interactions
Take a more active role in your colony’s social life.
Instead of waiting for everything to happen in the background, you can directly trigger valid social actions such as chatting, insulting, social fighting, and marriage proposals.
Facial Animation
Core includes custom face parts that automatically replace vanilla eyes, without replacing head textures and scaling automatically based on age/size using cached runtime masking.
Meaning automatic support for a wide range of head types, helping visuals fit more naturally across different pawn appearances with less manual setup. Faces can also be edited using Pawn Editor Fork.
Hero System
The Hero System adds a colony-focused progression layer built around a chosen active hero.
Track Karma, Ideological Standing, and Reputation as your hero gains social weight over time across other individual pawns, settlements and factions.
Advanced Animation Framework
Core includes a multi-stage, multi-pawn animation framework for more dynamic and visually involved interactions.
Compatibility
Hard Incompatibilities
- None so far
Supported Mods:
- NL Facial Animation (replaces my custom facial animations)
- Pawn Editor Fork (allows for editing my custom face parts)
- Perspective Shift (karma module and manual interaction integrated)
The original Despicable had known incompatibilities with HAR, Big and Small, and Anomaly.
Those issues were addressed during development of Despicable 2, and so far the old conflicts have not resurfaced.
As always with larger RimWorld mod lists, edge cases are still possible, but this sequel was built to avoid the major problems that affected the original.
Supported languages: English, 简体中文, Deutsch, Русский, Français, Español

Required:
- RimWorld 1.6
Optional Support:
- NL Facial Animation
- Pawn Editor
Migration & Save Notes
A new save is recommended. Make backups before installing on an old save!
FAQ
Is it compatible with CE?
Patches were made and this type of mod shouldn't really affect CE much, but I'm still not 100% sure. Make a backup if you're willing to try.
What happens if I use NLFA?
NLFA takes over the facial layer, while Despicable continues handling its broader systems and animations.
Does this still have the old HAR / Big and Small / Anomaly issues?
Those were problems with the original Despicable. Despicable 2 was built to address them, and so far those old incompatibilities have not reappeared.
How does it perform?
Almost non-existent performance cost for the amount of features it provides, tested to work with most performance mods!
