Sustainable Fishing - Chum Station
Ever find that your massive lake runs dry after feeding just three colonists?
Fish populations regenerate naturally, but the rate is too slow to sustain a dedicated fishing colony. Sustainable Fishing introduces a balanced, immersive solution: the Chum Station. It allows lakes to replenish fish faster than they normally would.
How it Works
The Chum Station is a small structure built on shallow water that slowly disperses organic bait into the water. Instead of spawning fish out of thin air, this mod multiplies the natural regeneration rate of the specific body of water it is placed in.

Targeted Growth: Only the lake or river where the station is built receives the boost.

Resource Loop: Turn your excess kibble into a more fish.

TPS Optimized: Built with performance in mind. The logic runs on an hourly tick, ensuring zero impact on your game's frame rate/TPS.

Mechanics
To keep the fish biting, you have to keep the station fueled:

Fuel Consumption: Consumes 5 units of kibble per day.

Requirement: Must be placed in shallow water to function.

Building: in the Production tab.

Math Example:
If your lake naturally regrows 1 fish per hour:

0 Stations: You get 1 fish/hour (Standard Vanilla).

1 Station (at 50% boost): Nature adds 1 + Station adds 0.5 = 1.5 fish/hour.

2 Stations (at 50% boost): Nature adds 1 + Station A adds 0.5 + Station B adds 0.5 = 2 fish/hour (Double speed).

Mod Settings
Tailor the experience to your liking via the Mod Settings menu:

Replenishment Boost: Adjust the bonus from 10% to 200% per station.

Dev Logging: Toggle detailed replenishment math in the console if you want to see the numbers.
