Pawn opinions are affected by their professional proficiencies.
The current version of this mod adds social opinion bonuses to pawns with high skills:

[*] Polymath gives higher bonus the more skills are over 10
[*] Talented gives higher bonus the highest the top skill

Future development
This mod was inspired by a disfigured pawn who was bullied despite carrying the whole colony. I have some ideas about a "veteran" social opinion, to avoid pawns bullying someone who just took a bullet for them. Although, that would not fit the current mod title, maybe it would end up being a separate mod. Another thing I could work on is settings to define the thresholds, if people find that useful. Don't hesitate to share your opinion.
