Unwatered crops will stall their growth, making agriculture a dedicated job rather than a background thought. [*] [b]Dynamic Weather:[/b] Raining outside? Nature's got you covered! Rain will automatically water any unroofed crops. [*] [b]Natural Water Sources:[/b] Settled near a river? Crops planted within 3 tiles of natural water sources (rivers, lakes, marshes) are automatically kept hydrated by the damp earth without any manual labor! [*] [b]Visual Feedback:[/b] Freshly watered soil visually changes to a darker, rich mud so you can tell at a glance what needs attention. Adjust the base work required to water a crop, set how many days your crops will be watered for, change the natural water radius, toggle rain watering, etc. [/list] ❓ FAQ [b]Q: Does this make the game harder?[/b] A: Yes. It significantly increases the labour cost of farming. You will need dedicated farmers early on, and dedicated power and resources for sprinklers later. Food is no longer truly passive. [b]Q: Can I add or remove it mid-save?[/b] A: It can be safely added to an existing save. If you remove it mid-save you may see a one-time harmless log entry as the game clears the mod's data, but your save will continue working normally. [b]Q: Does it work with multiple colonies or maps?[/b] A: Yes! Watering state is tracked independently per map, so multiple simultaneous maps will never interfere with each other. 🚀 Performance Day resets and sprinkler pulses are batched per map tick rather than running per-plant per-tick, so performance impact should be minimal even on large farms.
