You thought the corners of your map were empty. They're not.
Four hostile factions have settled at the edges of your tile — and they're not here to negotiate. They build bases, grow crops, research technology, brew drugs, and save up silver to buy raids on your colony. Every day you survive, they grow stronger.
What's happening on your map while you sleep:
🏠 Living bases — enemy factions build houses, kitchens, drug labs, breweries, and research rooms. They cook meals, harvest psychoid and smokeleaf, haul resources, and tend their wounded.
📈 Tech progression — factions research from Primitive → Craft → Electric, unlocking smithies, turrets, and stronger raids. Watch the overlay to see them advance.
💰 Underground market — sell contraband, buy supplies, manipulate prices, bribe informants, disable all turrets for 2 hours, and raid enemy warehouses through a black market console.
⚔️ Faction warfare — corner bases fight each other, launch mortar bombardments, and occasionally trigger massive multi-faction assaults on your colony.
📦 Wild events — cargo ships crash-land, drop pod wars erupt between factions, and chaos incidents keep the map unpredictable.
🤝 Diplomacy — bribe factions to delay raids, improve goodwill, and receive gifts or trade caravans in return.
📊 Reputation system — your trading activity is tracked. Push too hard and the network sends enforcers.
