One line description: Skips Ideologies ticks with no pawns to improve TPS. Full Texts: Tired of your TPS dropping to 15 because you have too many ideologies? This mod optimizes ideology ticking by skipping precept ticks for ideologies that have no pawns assigned to them. Inspired by a player who discovered that using the dev tool to reduce all unoccupied ideologies to a single precept more than doubled their TPS. Now you can keep your ideologies clean without the dev tools — let your colonists focus on their crusades on those heretics and this mod will save TPS from them! Performance impact: - Ideologies with no spawned pawns: 0 precept ticks (previously full tick cost) - Ideologies with spawned pawns: unchanged, full tick as normal - Auto detect new spawned pawn's ideology and make it active instantly Compatible with Multiplayer mod. No new saves required, can be added/removed mid-game. For those who want to know if this patch is safe or unstable: This skip is non-destructive. Ideo.IdeoTick() only handles two things — recalculating believer counts and ticking precept effects. For an ideology with zero pawns: - Believer count recalculation → irrelevant, there's nobody to count - Precept effects → irrelevant, there's no pawn to apply them to It's effectively the same as if the ideology had no precepts at all — which is fine since no living pawn follows it anyway. The moment a pawn adopts the ideology, it gets counted and ticking resumes within 1000 ticks at most. FAQ: Q: Is this mod it does the same patch Performance Esmolas or compatible with it? A: Not same. Should compatible but no test report yet. What Performance Esmolas do is to skip like 9 ticks of ideology every 10 ticks. Instead this mod auto detect spawned pawns’ ideologies and active them so they can do ticks normally, others with no spawned pawn are just skipped. So you can save your TPS by murder everyone spawned except your colonists to get their ideology skipped but you own stayed the same as vanilla. About Settings: - "Enable This Mod" Should enable it, or this mod won't work. - "Always tick player pawns" Enable this if you don't want your colony ideologies not ticking when all believers caravan outside. - "Always ignore non-player pawns" Enable this if you really don't care about other faction's ideologies. - "[Multiplayer][AsyncTime] Enable not to count pawns on paused map" Enable this if you're playing Multiplayer with AsyncTime enabled and just got any of your friend absent for period of time and you don't want their ideologies take over your TPS.
