Custom Republic Expands the Republic system from Vanilla [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2787850474&searchtext=classical]Expanded - Classical[/url] to create a custom republic. Features [list] [*] Customize your republic during world generation — choose which factions are founding members [*] Select how many senators per faction are in your republic [*] Select the pawnkind of your senators (defaults to VFE Classical toga-wearing senators) [*] 11 new Perks distributed among your senators [*] Research unlocks distributed to senators based on faction tech level [*] Invite allied factions to join your republic mid-game via caravaning to them or using comms console [/list] How It Works On the world generation screen, a new button lets you customize your republic before you begin. Choose your founding factions and senator appearance. At game start, perks and research are randomly distributed to senators — each faction only receives research matching its tech level. [b]Research distribution options:[/b] [list] [*] Tech-printed research is distributed first by default [*] Option to disable tech-printed research if you prefer earning it the traditional way [*] Option to assign dummy (placeholder) research if you don't care about the research system [/list] [b]Mid-game expansion:[/b] Travel to an allied faction and use the gizmo, or call them via the comms console to invite them to join your republic. New members receive perks and research just like founding factions. For Mod Authors (or people wanting more control) Use [url=https%3A%2F%2Frimworldwiki.com%2Fwiki%2FModding_Tutorials%2FPatchOperations%23PatchOperationAddModExtension]PatchOperationAddModExtension[/url][rimworldwiki.com] to add [b]FactionExtension_SenatorInfoExtended[/b] to your faction — an extended version of VFE Classical's FactionExtension_SenatorInfo with an added pawnkind field. Full XML structure available on the GitHub page. This way you can set Perks, Pawnkinds, Senators and Research. [b]Notes:[/b] - This mod removes the classical republic factions from the republic by default. You can readd them in the republic customization screen - Changing senator pawnkind, perks, or research after game start requires save file editing. Always back up your save before doing so. - This has undergone limited testing as i never made a full playthrough with this. Its laying around for far too long on my harddrive and i wanted to get it out. So probably some bugs in it. Please report any you find in the comments.
