True Full Auto

True Full Auto turns RimWorld’s fake burst-fire weapons into something much closer to real automatic fire. In vanilla RimWorld, many burst-fire guns are not truly automatic. They fire an entire burst first, then enter cooldown before they can choose a new target. This often makes high-burst weapons feel awkward in actual combat. A target may already be going down, but the weapon still finishes the whole burst before stopping, cooling down, and switching. As a result, some weapons that should feel suppressive and fluid can end up feeling less natural than simple single-shot guns. That is the problem this mod is meant to solve. It does not add new weapons, research, or extra content. It only changes firing behavior, so burst-fire weapons behave more like actual automatic weapons. 【Mode Switching】 This mod now includes three modes, so you can choose the style that fits your preferred feel. {Standard Full Auto}: This is the most direct and classic True Full Auto mode. It converts supported burst-fire weapons into true single-shot automatic fire, then redistributes warmup and cooldown based on the weapon’s original burst profile. The result is that weapons are no longer trapped in the old fake burst cycle, and target switching becomes much more natural in multi-target fights. This mode is best for players who want the cleanest and most straightforward full-auto conversion. {Target Burst Count}: This mode does not force everything all the way down to 1 shot. Instead, weapons whose original burst count is higher than your chosen target will be compressed down to that target burst count, with warmup and cooldown reduced proportionally. Weapons whose original burst count is already at or below the target are left unchanged. For example, if a weapon originally fires 12 shots per burst and your target burst count is set to 3, it will be compressed into a 3-shot burst. If a weapon originally fires only 2 shots per burst and your target is 3, it will stay as a 2-shot burst rather than being increased. This mode is meant for players who do not want every weapon forced into pure 1-shot cycling. It is also a good fit for people who prefer shorter bursts, longer controlled bursts, or simply want very high-burst weapons and some high-burst turrets to keep a bit more of their original rhythm. {Bullet Storm}: This is the more aggressive advanced mode. It builds on the full-auto conversion by pushing fire rate higher and scaling per-shot damage down, making weapons feel closer to sustained suppressive fire. Bullet Storm strength can be adjusted with a slider, and DPS compensation can also be tuned separately. That means you can keep the original DPS and mainly change the firing feel, raise total DPS slightly while increasing fire rate, or push the mode much further for a heavier suppression-style setup. This mode is best for players who want stronger automatic-fire character, not just a cleaner fix for fake burst behavior. 【Other Features】 - Minimum burst-count filter to avoid affecting short-burst weapons and certain shotguns that rely on repeated shots - Optional turret support - Optional mod weapon support - Exclusion filters for weaponTags and DefNames - Settings follow the in-game language 【Notes】 - Designed for RimWorld 1.6 - Adds no new items, textures, research, or extra content - Only changes weapon firing behavior - Most settings can be adjusted in the mod settings menu - For already-generated weapons, some Bullet Storm-related changes, as well as burst, warmup, and cooldown changes under Target Burst Count mode, may require restarting the game or re-entering the save to fully refresh - Bullet Storm damage changes are applied at runtime, so the vanilla damage line may not always update directly - An estimated Bullet Storm per-shot damage readout is provided for easier reference - Weapons built around clip-like systems, charge-based firing, or similar custom firing structures may behave incorrectly and can end up with abnormally high fire rates - Combat Extended is probably not supported, because this mod is not developed around CE and the author does not play with CE - Backing up saves before changing gameplay mods is still recommended At its core, this mod is trying to solve one very specific problem: Burst-fire weapons should feel like automatic weapons, not like single-shot guns pretending to be automatic.
