Gravship Roof-Mounted Turrets Automatically converts turret placements on gravship substructure into roof-mounted variants. [list] [*] Roof-mounted turrets use custom targeting logic: acquire targets within range regardless of line of sight, as long as the target isn't under a roof [*] Missed shots land closer to the intended target rather than scattering randomly [*] Hostiles with ranged attacks will target and can hit RMTs; they're treated as exposed on the exterior of the ship [*] Unmount/Mount gizmo allows returning an RMT to a floor-placed turret or moving to a mounted position; if there is not space under the turret to be placed on the floor it will minify so you can relocate it [*] Mod Settings: toggle and adjust transparency of the RMT overlay and browse all detected turrets with eligibility status and ineligibility reasons [/list] [hr] How It Works [list] [*] At start up, this mod finds all turret defs and determines if they are eligible for roof-mounting, then creates hidden defs for roof-mounted turrets; these extra turrets don't show up in the build menu to avoid bloat. [*] When a turret blueprint (new construction or reinstall) is placed on a tile that has gravship substructure and a constructed roof it is automatically converted to its roof-mounted version; if the turret later becomes eligible for roof-mounting then a gizmo will be available allowing you to roof-mount the turret. [/list] [i][b]NOTE:[/b] Since RimWorld doesn't have actual map elevations, the ability for RMTs to shoot over walls and hills is us pretending that these turrets are mounted up high on the exterior of a gravship; I may revisit this in the future and make it a setting.[/i] [hr] Compatibility [list] [*] Supports most base game and modded turrets automatically at startup. If a turret has additional subclass(es) that changes the behavior of the turret from typical, such as "Building_TurretFoam" or "Building_TurretRocket", that building will become ineligible to become a roof-mounted turret, for now.
