Features

[*] Letter Notifications:
When a pawn gets food poisoning, you receive a letter specifying exactly which meal caused it. This mod immediately flags the responsible item and tracks the stack it originated from.
[*] Automatic Flagging:
Any meal that has already caused food poisoning is immediately flagged as "Suspect." These items are marked with a distinct yellow visual overlay on the map, allowing you to identify toxic stacks in your freezer at a glance.
[*] Investigate Order:
Use the new designation tool to check meals. Once a pawn finishes the inspection, any hidden poison chance is revealed via a visual indicator.
[*] Visual Overlays:
Flagged meals—whether identified through illness or investigation—display a "blight" texture, making them easy to pick out in a crowded freezer.
[*] Safe Disposal:
Adds a new right-click "Destroy" job for flagged meals, allowing pawns to safely dispose of toxic food instead of leaving it for an unsuspecting colonist.

Why was this made?
Inspired by emergency health inspections and food safety protocols, this mod allows you to act as a contact tracer. The moment a pawn falls ill, you can instantly identify the toxic meal and its origin stack.
While searching the Steam Workshop, I noticed that most existing mods focus on "Treatment" after a pawn is already sick, rather than "Prevention" and "Source Tracing." This mod was created to fill that gap, transforming a semi-random negative event into a proactive sanitary management task.
By using the Investigate order to screen suspicious batches and ordering the safe destruction of contaminated food, you can finally take control of your colony's food safety and stop outbreaks before they spread.

FAQ
Q: Is it safe to add to or remove from an existing save?
A: You can safely add this mod to any ongoing game. If you wish to remove it, it is recommended to first cancel any active "Investigate" designations to ensure a clean transition.
Q: Will my pawns still eat meals flagged as "Suspect"?
A: Yes. The visual overlay is for the player's benefit only. Once you spot a yellow "blighted" meal, you should manually order a pawn to "Destroy" it before someone eats it.
Q: Does the "Investigate" order cost any resources?
A: No resources are consumed, but it does require labor. A pawn must physically go to the meal and spend time performing the inspection.
Q: Why do some meals show no visual flag after being investigated?
A: A meal is only flagged if it carries a hidden food poisoning risk. If no yellow overlay appears after an investigation, the meal is confirmed safe.
Q: Do I get any silver or ingredients back from "Destroying" a meal?
A: No. To simulate biohazard disposal, the "Destroy" command completely removes the contaminated food from the game with no resource return.
