Insurgent Mechanoid

Every feel like there's a gap in the mechanoid lineup? Despite melee being so strong in this game, there aren't really any short range but non melee mechs besides militors, who are obviously quite fragile and lacking in DPS. To fill that gap, I've brought you the latest in biotechnology, a new pair of mechs designed specifically for close to midrange combat and to fill out any gaps in a good battle mechanitor's defenses. Meet: The Insurgent. Tanky, powerful, and ready to throw itself in harms way to save its human creators. Insurgents possess a high health pool, but are actually slightly smaller than a standard pawn, granting them advantages in both melee and ranged combat. Find their specific stats at the end of this description. There are two variants to the Insurgent, the slugger and the stunner. The slugger wields a "chain slug gun", a new weapon added by this mod that is pretty much a stat tweak of the chain shotgun. While its DPS is moderately decreased, it has a somewhat boosted range and extremely high armor piercing, allowing it to damage even the sturdiest of enemy mechs. Face it against a high body size target like a Diabolus, and you'll be shredding it with constant damage. The stunner wields a weaker version of the player craftable EMP launcher. Speaking of EMPs, the Insurgent has a 35% EMP resistance, meaning it's much safer to use high area EMPs like grenades around them. They're perfectly capable of holding their own in melee combat, with a DPS equivalent to about 1.5x that of a lancer- And because of their increased health pool and armor, they'll last far longer in melee. As promised above, here are their specific stats (Which may change in the future): Move Speed: 3.0 Bandwidth Cost: 3 Blunt Armor: 35% Sharp Armor: 55% Psychic Sensitivity: 75% EMP Resistance: 35% Weight Class: Medium Recipe: 100x Plasteel 100x Steel 6x Industrial Components 1x Standard Subcore While the stunners can't appear as enemies, the sluggers can, and when they do so they have a combat power of 280.
