R&D - Biblically Accurate Cassowaries
This makes vanilla cassowaries into something that only looks like a bird at first glance. They are eldritch, angelic things wearing a cassowary shaped mask, and they do not follow animal logic once you start interacting with them. They roam alone and in small packs with the occasional larger Alpha, turn invisible when it suits them, ignore fire and heat entirely, and treat any hint of aggression as a reason to immediately escalate the situation.
Expert advice: Leave them alone. Just stay away, for your own health and sanity.
