Max Wander Distance
[b]Is your base the size of a small country?[/b] Do your colonists have the navigational instincts of a lost puppy? Has Dave, your level 18 crafter, ever strolled directly into an insect nest because he was "feeling a little cooped up" — despite standing three tiles from an unfinished masterwork?
We've all been there. A colonist finishes a meal with 20 minutes left on their recreation schedule. They look around at the dozen urgent tasks within arm's reach, and think: [i]"You know what sounds great? A leisurely hike to the far corner of the map."[/i] They arrive just in time for their work hour to start, stand there for approximately four seconds, then turn around and slowly walk all the way back. By the time they reach the workshop, it's time for bed. Productive day.
[b]Max Wander Distance[/b] puts a leash on your pawns' wanderlust. When a colonist decides to wander, their destination is capped to a configurable radius around their current position. No more cross-map expeditions. No more "scenic routes" through the killbox. No more discovering your best doctor somehow ended up in the middle of a mechanoid cluster because they wanted some fresh air.
