This mod adds useful though inefficient industrial alternative to power armors; armored exoskeletons.
They are the old, forgotten predecessor to commonly-seen spacer power armor; an earlier, larger, inefficient version of the art that served as a technological springboard and effective proof of concept.
While largely forgotten, as plasteel-based power armor is simply far more material and time efficient, and these suits are too expensive to equip vast armies in, they've held an important niche as the simpler, stronger, more durable ancestor to the beloved self-walking armored suits.
Handy for those who like power armor but are annoyed that only spacers with their nonsensical plasteel and floppy disks get to do it.
Starring:
- A very large brick of poorly-written lore that attempts to fit vanilla Rimworld
- MLA3, MMA7, MHA15 mechanized armor variants
Light, medium and heavy 'realistic'/vaguely balanced power armor suits and their helmets
- Three whole sets of 'lovingly' made armor textures, procured from smashing together vanilla ones and using the paintbrush tool paint.net has mercifully provided
Many more extremely basic and low-quality textures
- Hotsuit, Coldsuit, Fastsuit
Fragile, easily-replaceable under-suits to offset the heavy, inconvenient armors... At another cost.
- Hotbelt, Coldbelt, Fastbelt
No textures besides the UI as belts can't seem to have pawn graphics, sadly...
ResearchPrerequisite:
Original credits included; Thank you, "Mechanized Armor Set"
Seriously, thanks. I wouldn't have figured this out without using your mod as a basis.

UPDATE PLANS:
As of recently, this mod is entirely .XML
Possibly rebalancing the armors and suits again
Making new textures, if I can manage it.
Rather than having one-armor-fits-all, I intend to make these armors specialized and hopefully balanced.
Additional balancing may be needed however as to avoid annoyances in-game with these sets.
(Just maybe) SOS2 patch
(If I can figure it out) CE compatibility
P.S.:
I'm still very new to modding.
Please, feel free to point out things I missed when making this mod.
Mod market link included; I'd include a link to the mod I used to make this, too, but I'm pretty dang dumb.
