Realistic Planets 2 is a full overhaul of RimWorld's world generation process. It keeps the base continent shape, then rebuilds terrain, climate, and biome placement so planets feel believable, diverse, and fun to play on.

==FEATURES==
- Rebuilt terrain + climate generation: RP2 runs a layered climate simulation (wind, moisture transport, rain shadows, seasonality, aridity, drainage, wetlands, and more) to produce more coherent worlds instead of just shuffled tile values.
- Better biome placement and variety: biomes compete on climate fit using many world factors, giving cleaner transitions and more natural regional patterns.
- New custom biomes included: Prairie (Grasslands for people without the Odyssey DLC), Steppe, Savanna, Oasis, Permafrost, and Cold Desert.
- Expanded world creation controls: sea level, rainfall, temperature, axial tilt, hilliness bias, presets, randomization tools, and Advanced Climate settings.
- Advanced Biomes screen: enable/disable individual biomes, adjust biome frequency, apply score offsets, search/filter/group entries, and save/load full biome profiles.
- Biome Editor [BETA]: edit a biome's scoring behavior and key biome-def values, then save/load per-biome presets for testing and custom setups.
- Hydrology options: choose between improved vanilla-style drainage/wetlands or a deeper flow-based hydrology simulation (with expanded rivers/lakes/wetland behavior). Advanced features require the Odyssey DLC.
- Integrated Map Mode Framework fork: includes RP2-aware map modes for climate and terrain analysis, plus RP2-side fixes/integration.
- Planetary Lighting system: dynamic sky colors, sun/moon positioning, eclipse support, and real map shadows with configurable realism options.
I recommend a new save out of an abundance of caution, but old saves should load fine.
