Combat Extended Shields - Lite Patch

This mod patches CE:Shields to leave only the distinctly different types of shields. Additionally, it tweaks some of the stats and updates the textures to be less pixelated. The three roles [b]Buckler:[/b] while covering very few bodyparts, this shield barely hinders the wielder, in comparison to CE's Melee Shield and other alternatives. It is much sturdier due to being metallic and provides bonuses to melee parry and crit chances - something a pawn skillful in Melee can take advantage of. [b]Pavise:[/b] the ballistic shield equivalent for neolithic times. It is not as resilient, due to being made out of wood, but will provide much more protection than CE's Melee Shield, at the cost of hindering melee capabilities. Pavise completely covers the body and intercepts projectiles flying at man-tall height. Adjacent pawns can shoot through the shieldbearer's tile without any penalties. [b]Assault shield:[/b] Industrial alternative to the CE's Melee shield and a smaller sibling of the Ballistic Shield. It covers only the torso and arms but provides impressive protection against pistol and intermediate rifle calibers. Useful for both melee pawns and SMG wielders, as the penalties to aim and movement are much smaller. With this in mind, Melee Shield still remains a decent all-rounder for hand-to-hand combat and Ballistic Shield is the best one to tank full-power rifle bullets. Notes The armor ratings on the preview pictures represent material range from steel to plasteel. Pavises can only be made out of wood. In the current version of CE (v 4.6), infobox displays that shields only cover left shoulder. That is a visual-only bug. The real coverage defined in XML is: Bucklers cover Arms and Hands. Assault shields cover Hands, Arms, Shoulders and Torso. Pavises cover Hands, Arms, Shoulders, Torso, Neck, FullHead and Legs.
