The Drake Buccaneer is a rugged, agile, single-seat light fighter built by Drake Interplanetary as a cost-effective and heavily armed combat ship. It emphasizes raw firepower and ruggedness over luxury, powered by twin turbo thrusters pushing the fighter up to 500mph at max speed. Less advanced civilizations produced this fighter with actuatable thrusters for max efficiency VTOL capabilities.
Weapon functions include dual high-powered rotary turbo rifles for immediate obliteration of air-to-air and air-to-ground targets, as well as a smaller and more portable gun for additional support. During VTOL the pilot can activate the ship's aiming lasers and camera controls, essentially turning the ship into a moving turret.
-=Recommended Flight Practices=-
Do not maintain VTOL for long periods of time to avoid draining the ship's core power.
When transitioning to Forward Flight, ensure you are in an open space and click the cockpit's "VTOL" button.
When transitioning to VTOL from Forward Flight, be cautious and reduce engine power before activating VTOL mode. Do not be concerned, as the ship will automatically power the engines while in VTOL mode.
Should you fall out of the vehicle while in VTOL mode, a complimentary auto-land feature will ensure you can reenter the ship presuming you did not die on impact.
