29C Twin Container Flat
As part of the SRFB's standardisation project, new designs for container flats had been drawn up. The railway had inherited a number of flats from the GSIR but all were either weathered from disuse or not suitable for the freight demands. The 29C design, while more expensive and heavier than the GSIR counterparts, required less intensive maintenance.
