Legkaya Gusenitsa 31 Kommercheskiy / Light Caterpillar 31 Commercial
Brief History
The LGu 31K is the first, non-converted Light Tank designed by Dark Manufacturers. The LGu 31K was designed by Golden Red Division [GRD] (1922-1953) of Charles Armoured Vehicle Manufactures [CAVM] back in Mid 1928. However, CAVM was only allowed for Conversion of Tanks and other Vehicles and was banned from producing stand-alone Production Variants of Tanks and Caterpillar Vehicles due to Vicker and the folks at 'The Land Cruisers Department of Dark Manufacturers' was salty after the Saint-Charles Tank which was Design and Produce by CAVM. This lead to only 7 'Prototype' variants of the LGu 31K [1] was produce.
On early 1931, 'The Land Cruisers Department of Dark Manufacturers' budget was slashed twice due to 'The mis-management of Company Funds' and the failure of Vicker in a new, non-converted light tank design [2]. So Dark Manufacturers lifted the ban on CAVM and GRD immediately designed an production variant of the EGu.28-3 which is the LGu 31K, which was quickly given the greenlight for mass production due to 3 years of trials on the EGu.28-3. The LGu 31K and it's future Variants served the Dark Military [3] in Late 1931 to early 1943
Notable designs and features
The LGu 31K is powered by a slightly modified Scarab C8120 Aircraft Engine with 2100 RPM. Unfortunately due to the Engine designed for aircrafts, most RPM is traded to become torque. To do this, GRD added 3 small gears (3:1, 3:1, 2:1). Plus, there is a Gear Shifter, 3 forward gears, and an automatic reverse gear.
The Steering System uses 2 methods, Dual Drive and Track Braking. The Dual Drive uses a clutch and gears on both tracks, while the Track Braking (which is enabled with a switch) uses a brake of a roadwheel. Without the Track Braking, fast turn rates at higher speeds are impossible, and without the switch, fast turning at slow or stationary are impossible.
For communication to other tanks and more, the LGu 31K uses 2 radio systems. The 'Fleet Coordinator Radio System' for close range, and the rather boring name of 'Long Range Radio System' for Long Range Communication. The 'Fleet Coordinator Radio System' uses 2 radios [4] and is operated by an Radio Operater. The 'Long Range Radio System' uses 1 Medium Range Radio and directly operated by the Commander [5]. All radios antennas are attached on the turret.
The turret hosts an 50 caliber Machine Gun, the turret also was not aligned with the center, and due to the small size of the turret, any cannon upgrades are near impossible without the complete redesign of the turret [6].
On the original EGu.28-3 had no any 'Anti-Stuck' Pipe [7], so, in the LGu 31K had an 'Anti-Stuck' Pipe. [8]
The LGu 31K has dual exposed radiator [9], 1 is actually use and the other is as an replacement [10] [11]
On the sides of the Commander are single small windows on each side to compliment the 'Commander Field Sights' [12]
Field Manual
This is the Field Manual for LGu 31K, do not share with anyone outside Dark Manufacturers/Army and Customers [13]
Engine Startup
Step behind the tank and check underneath if the 2 fuel valves are open. Then enter the tank on the drivers seat, set gear to 0, then setting accelerator to 10%, then start the engine. If the engine is nominal, accelerate to 50% and release parking brakes.
Driving
Driving will be hard, for this, we recommend the commander stand beside the turret and Driver hatch fully open when not in combat.
Engangement
During engagement, support the foot infantry. When facing well armored foes, retreat and wait for Anti-tank cannons. Do not spearhead the engagement. [14]
For customers
-Do not Upgrade the guns as it will mostlikely destroy the turret
-Do not somehow develope an relationship [16] with the LGu 31K [17]
-Do not use for terrorism [18]
-Anything else is allowed
Golden Red Division 1922-1953
The Golden Red Division is an department apart of Charles Armored Vehicle Manufacturers which itself an Child Company of Dark Manufacturers (Dark Industries). The GRD was formed after an large spike of Russians joining CAVM and Dark Manufactures in late 1921. They we're assigned to be an conversion and upgrade department, but in mid 1925, Sasha Popov, the head of GRD started designing tanks which eventually became the EGu.28-3, the prototype of the LGu 31K. The GRD was one of the best light tank designer and producer of Dark Manufacturers. In late 1942, Charles Jr.[19] and Sasha Popov met as for talks about the new GRD light tank, the L-42 [20] in which Charles Jr. said to Popov "You are going to be the death of your own department". In 1st of September, 1953, Sasha Popov was crushed by an HAT-35-150 being lifted by an crane [21]. everyone at GRD loved Popov and his death was an huge blow to GRD, and they did not want a french boy named Charlie [22] take over. So after a week since Charlie took over, every GRD either ressigned or change department, leading to the shutdown of Golden Red Division.
Rebirth (1972-PRESENT)
In 1972, everyone [23] wanted to replace the M7T-1A-A [24]. Additionally, Russian employees was a surplus again. So everyone in the higher command [25] created the Glowing Red Division or GRD[26]. In the end, the M7T was upgraded instead of new "main" tanks.
Footnotes
[1] Which was called EGu.28-3
[2] Originally, Founder and first CEO of Dark Manufacturers wanted VIcker's house to be shelled for 10 days
[3] Symbolized by the red corner
[4] 1 for incoming transmission and 1 for communication
[5] The thought of this was for the Commander's message is directly transmitted to HQ or a Radioman/Captain of an Artillery Battery instead of being sent by an Radio Operator
[6] All was an unpopular opinion by no-one but Charles Sr. himself
[7] The EGu.28-3 had an 'metal blanket' which were 32, 20mm thick, 30cm long, 3.5m wide 'sections' which was connected by long metal pins, which generally sucked. Hard to produce, hard to set, and sometimes breaks.
[8] Most deployed LGu 31K was not deployed with the Anti-Stuck Pipe due to most commanders did not saw the need of it
[9] The thought of this was the engine room is hotter than the outside
[10] The second radiator was in response of Charles Sr. Complaining that the exposed radiator is the biggest weakspot
[11] "Saw off both radiators and weld the functional one on" -Sasha Popov's response to Charles Sr. complain that the design was stupid
[12] The prototye EGu.28-3 only had the 'Commander Field Sights'
[13] This includes you
[14] This is outdated since the Dark Army has still not seen the potential of tanks
[15] This includes replacement parts
[16] as in a loving relationship
[17] this will void your warranty
[18] Mr. Wolf (Dark Army General, Co-founder of Dark Industries, and current CEO (1957-PRESENT)) is serious with this
[19] Charles Sr. only son
[20] GDu 42K was the original name
[21] A rope snapped just as Sasha Popov was walking under the lifted HAT-35-150
[22] Youngest Son of Charles Jr.
[23] Everyone high up except for current CEO
[24] A medium tank which was the "main" tank of Dark Industries that is based on the HAT-35-15. In mid 1972 it was reaching 37 service years old.
[25] Higher Command includes Dark Industries CEO (Mr. Wolf) and his secretary, CVLV Department head (Charles Charlie the VI), Dark Military General of the Military (John Johnson [STC]), Grey family matriarch (Sasha Grey), and others very important.
[26] Yeah we were lazy about that
