KCS EMD - GP40 Freight Train [Legacy G1]

No, this will not be added to the KCS collection. This is because we have a better one coming. 'm back, and this time with another legendary locomotive, the EMD-GP40. Also you best believe i linked a template. same rules apply, upload as you please but please credit it. History: The GP40 is a four axle locomotive employed almost everywhere throughout North America. It's smaller, more compact design makes it a popular choice for smaller trains that don't need a massive Special Duty locomotive or just simply acting as a slave in a larger train. The locomotive is by far not a rare sight, with well over one thousand GP40 models being produced, not counting near identical models coming before or after the GP40. This Specific model, KCS 2968, serves Kansas City Southern, a growing class 1 railroad headquartered in Kansas City, MO and stretching into Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. The reason i chose to model this locomotive is pretty much how gorgeous it's livery is and the ready ability to see one in person since its one of the major lines around me. Also i saw this number on google maps at a KCS yard so why not? Features: Overall this lighter train seeks to right the wrongs of my first SD70, the first train i ever made. I have adopted a new drive system and made controls a little more realistic and satisfying. It is still diesel electric but this locomotive is much more efficient than the SD70. The generator can power up over 1600 units, but that much power is not practical and also sucks fuel. Dont let this train's small stature fool you, it is still a powerful locomotive capable of carrying some heavy loads. it is also a lot less laggier than my past trains making operation much smoother. I bolted the SD70's slave system to the train with some modifications since that system worked so well. it is straightforward controls and does it's job incredibly well. In Conclusion: this train took less time to make since i already had figured out most engineering problems from the SD70. It still is a much better product than my past SD70, which i will probably completely replace with a better version, if i get around to it. I think this little GP40 is awesome and i hope you enjoy it too. Extra: Funny enough this project started off as an SD38 but i decided it wasnt as practical as a GP.
