Goold Coach (early passenger coach)

The Goold cars, are the early coaches built for the Mohawk and Hudson Railroad in 1831. The coaches where made from stagecoach bodies where riders could either sit within the coach, or outside on rumble seats. The coaches where known as the Goold Cars and where so named after coach builder James Goold of Albany New York.
