Car that works on diesel and electric battery.
Ever wanted to show people that even simple creation can be more efficient? Now you can!
What is the point of it? Pure fun!
What is it's purpose? To be eco, who wants to pollute the beautiful Stormworks nature?
Why it was made? Because I thought that there aren't that much hybrid cars on the workshop so I started experimenting, this is it's final form. Other versions were better, but i didn't translated them from Polish to English.
Can it tow? Of course! It should be capable towing things up to 2000 mass.
How to refuel it? Connector for the hose is on the right side of the car, on the left is ventilation for tanks.
How many people can it transport? With driver, 5 people.
Is it easy to operate it? Of course, and it's made to be easy to render, no touch screens that can slow your device.
When detected that battery has enough charge, the power generation will be lowered, thus giving engine less work.
Diesel powered engines are loud and weak on low rps, electric motor helps it make up to some speed faster.
When battery discharge too low, diesel engine will get most of the work.
This car is equipped with Start/Stop system, engine won't be running if there is no throttle input.
When fuel in the main tank gets too low, you will get notified about it.
When battery charge gets too low, you will get notified about it too.
If you want to use my microcontrollers and publish your creations with them, please credit me in the description.
More information about it:
Eco mode will decrease amount of throttle going in to diesel engine microcontroller and increase the load on the electric motors.
Power mode will use both electric motor and diesel engine from the start.
Car will use electric motor up to around 20KM/H
1 light and heater inside, 1 light in the engine bay, 2 front lights and 1 back light, 1 reverse light.
Weight: 997
Top speed: around 60km/h.
Automatic transmission: 1 - Drive 0 - Park -1 - Reverse (Trying to move in park mode will drain the battery).
4 cylinder diesel engine. I USED "ZE MODULAR ENGINE CONTROLLER" AND MODIFIED IT!!!!

Around 300L of fuel (around 280L in the back and around 30L in the front).
2 Electric motors, 2 small batteries.
Cooled via impeller pump driven by engine rps and 3x3 radiator.
Main breaker is under engine bay.
I only used "ZE Modular Engine Controller" microcontroller, other microcontrollers are made by me.
Warnings:
When traction is lost, you should let go throttle for a moment until it's restored.
Engine may not start if the battery charge is below 50.
Engine will not start if it's hotter than 95C
It's not recommended to drive on "POWER mode" all the time, it can discharge the battery faster than usual and decrease fuel economy.
When using "ECO mode", engine may struggle a bit. Typical RPS for this mode is around 10rps.
Do not discharge your battery below 40%.
Trying to drive in "Park mode (0)" will result in discharging battery.
Keep in mind that magnet for towing can be also used for charging battery.
Radio not installed, it might be installed in future models.
Thanks, and have fun!
