Triumphant Class - Heavy Cruiser
This is my first publicly-released creation for Stormworks, so if something does not work, don't be surprised. If you have suggestions or bug reports, put them down below. I probably won't update anything major myself because I don't feel like it, but there might be some small tweaks.
Overview
The Triumphant-class was developed to satisfy a need for a heavily armed ship that actually fits in the stock workbench was small enough to be easily maintained and crewed. The Triumphant boasts an armament unlike any other ship its size, as well as barely-functional bilge pumps, a diesel-fired steam engine, an "advanced" fire control system, and an overkill effective anti-air armament. Overall, the Triumphant-class by design crams the armament of a heavy cruiser into a hull the size of a destroyer.

Operation
My goal was to make a ship that is easy to use, so everything should be pretty simple.
Engine start procedure

Head down to the boiler room

Turn the key on both boilers to ignite them

You can use the throttle lever to set the temperature to whatever you please (not required)

Head back up to the bridge, wait for the boilers to heat up, and go!
Operating the main guns
The main cannons are all controlled from the fire control room, just below and behind the bridge. All the buttons and stuff should be annotated but here's how to use it anyway:

The panel of switches at the bottom is for selecting which guns you want to use. Guns that are turned off will return to their original position and won't fire.

Use the arrow keys to aim the rangefinder at your target. This aims all of the selected turrets you can use the throttle lever or the 3 and 4 keys to zoom.

The indicator lights are very important. They show which guns are loaded. The orange ones are the 8 inch guns, and the yellow ones are the 5 inch guns. They are labeled to show which turret they represent.

Finally, to fire the guns, press spacebar when they are loaded and you are aimed at your target. The guns automatically reload, just wait for the lights to come back on.
Anti-air

Just go to the middle AA gun on either side and use WASD and space to fire. The middle AA controls all the other ones on its side as well.
Lifeboats

Lifeboats are located on the back deck.

To launch a lifeboat, climb in, detach the electrical cable, and press the launch button.

If the ship is listing too much or the boats just don't slide off, you can push them off the rails when they are released.
Torpedoes

The torpedoes automatically track and try to hit targets they see in front of them. Misses are not very common but don't be surprised if you can't hit a small boat.

There are 3 locked buttons, each to launch a torpedo. Using the keys 1, 2, and 3 unlock their respective buttons.

The torpedoes sometimes fail, most times when that happens they just get harmlessly stuck on the deck. I tried to fix it, but to no avail. Sorry.
Driving the Ship

W/S are for throttle.

A/D are for turning.

Other things are controlled with keybinds, such as the lights.
Huge thanks to Geep561, for a few reasons:
Quality Control
Inspiration
Emotional support (I nearly went insane)
This ship uses a variety of real life ships for inspiration. These mainly include:
- USS Texas (New York-class Dreadnought)
- HMS York (York-class Heavy Cruiser)
- USS The Sullivans (Fletcher-class Destroyer)
- HMS Mars (Majestic-Class Pre-Dreadnought)
Other Remarks
Above all else, have fun with this thing!
If you have any suggestions for this vessel, feel free to leave them down below, and we will to respond the best we can.
Any future updates to this vessel will likely be handled by Geep561, as I am moving on to other (smaller) projects.
Thank you for taking the time to view our creation!
Please do not reupload.
If you do, then I will be very sad :(
