USS Tanager 1863 - Civil War Monitor
U.S.S. Tanager
Inspired by the monitors used by the union navy during the civil war, the U.S.S. Tanager packs a punch for its small size. Equipped with one of the earliest examples of a rotating gun turret, and heavily armoured sides, Tanager paved the way for naval design in the years to come, and her small size and manoeuvrability made her the perfect ship for protecting blockades, destroying fortifications, and engaging enemy ships on rivers and coastal waters. Just be careful if you decide to take it into any water deeper than a few meters.
