The Motodata R17 is a fast motor launch designed by Motodata Fune Kabushiki Gaisha for emergency response and coastal patrol FEATURES: - Semi-realistic design based on WWII PT boats - Triple propulsion for added speed and reliability - Complete with mission equipment for rescue ops (repair equipment, fire gear, medical stores) - Realistic interior layout - Easy to steer and maneuverable - Good seagoing capabilities - Small & compact, shallow draft - Lighting, heating and other amenities - Fictional coast guard style livery. Please familiarize yourself with the description in order to operate this boat to its full potential SPECIFICATIONS Length: 20m Beam: 5.25m Draft: ~1m Propulsion: 3 diesel engines Top speed: ~ 56kt Fuel capacity: 3800 l PROPULSION: Each engine is supercharged and controlled by its own master switch (on by default) located on the instrument panel on the port side of engine room bulkhead along with monitoring gauges. The port and starboard engines can be reversed from the conn. Center engine is not reversible. Fuel gauges are located on the bridge as well as in the engine room (starboard side) STEERING: Mostly self ex. Port and starboard engines can be reversed separately to aid in maneuvering. Lights on the instrument panel will illuminate if corresponding engine has been reserved ELECTRICS: Each engine has its own alternator. The batteries will not charge at idle. Engine speed must be increased slightly to charge the batteries. Battery charges and generator outputs are displayed on the electrical switchboard on the port side of the engine room. NAVIGATION AND COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT: In the chart room is located a radio transciever, as well as a keyboard to input waypoint X,Y for the autopilot OTHER EQUIPMENT Tools (torches, welders, hoses, el. cables etc) and special clothing (diving eq. and fire gear) are located in the boatswain's locker forward of the focsle. The boat is equipped with a bilge pump and a fire pump activated from the engine room using switches on the el. switchboard panel. Fire pump supplies firefighting pressure to the fire main and connectors located in the engine room and on the deck aft and to the starboard of the bridge. There's a medical room available with bed and medical equipment. The boat has full heating for arctic conditions as well as warm clothes avaialble. ANCHORS AND WINCHES The boat has one anchor on the stern. It will lower to the bottom and latch when released, and be weighed automatically, when a corresponding button is pressed.
