IMAM Ro.43 Reconnaissance Seaplane

History The IMAM Ro.43 is an italian Seaplane manufactured from 1936 to 1943. They were widely used on Italian surface ships for reconnaissance purposes. In total 193 aircraft were in service of Regia Marina. Ro.43's were based off the land variants, IMAM Ro.37, they were designed to be launched from the ship's catapult and played a big role in naval engagements in Mediterranean keeping the visual contacts with the British warships. Specifications Length: 9m. Wingspan: 12.25m. Designed Speed: 135 knots. Armament 2x 7.62mm Fixed machine guns. 1x 7.62mm Rear machine gun. 4x 50-kg bombs. Operation The controls are labelled and simplified. Take Off Take off is pretty tricky, since it uses the wheel glitch and a keel block to keep it floating. It is recommended to fly directly upwind, on slightly decreased throttle. Without the wind, you need to gain speed (15-18 knots) and then start pulling up, eventually the aircraft will get flung into the air. Notes She has slight issues with range due to lack of room for the fuel tanks. Happy Spotting!
