This is a 1:1 replica of Vought XF5U, nicknamed the Flying Flapjack because it looks like a pancake.
It was an experimental aircraft meant to combine STOL capability with high speed and maneuvrability.
And it is indeed very maneuvrable, perhaps even a bit too twitchy, but still fun to fly.
It is somewhat unstable in roll, which is perplexing and I was unable to fix it. Also it has very low ammo capacity because it's very thin and I had no more space for ammo.
Otherwise I'm happy with it as everything is almost exactly to scale and the right shape.
