Overview
The M5 Modular Tractor Truck (MTT) is a modification of a civilian tractor truck repurposed for military use after the MEROTS (Military Equipment Requisition - Off The Shelf) programme was initiated in the mid 80s. It was designed to haul cargo over any terrain in all weather. The truck reaches a top speed of 100 kilometres per hour on-road, and remains a mainstay of the logistical backbone making up the defence forces.
