surveys don't detect them until they're already moving.
Somewhere between the mechanoid raids, the tribal
incursions, and the drought running three seasons — the
sensors started logging biological signatures that don't
match anything in the vanilla threat registry.
MADWorld adds the numbered Kaiju, the Honju wilderness
apex predators, the Yoju vanguard swarms, and the
Uni-Organ research program to your Rim. The storyteller
will use them like any other tool — wrong time, wrong
numbers, wrong angle.
For the right colonist, there's a transformation on the
other side of the research bench that changes the math.
This is not a power fantasy. It's a new category of problem.

🦎 CREATURES

🔴 YOJU-CLASS ─ The Vanguard
Phaneroplus and Primigenius. Fast, cheap, numerous.
A single Phaneroplus is manageable. Five are not.
Primigenius are the ones that didn't die the first time.
Threat Level: LOW → SWARM
🟠 HONJU-CLASS ─ Wilderness Apex Predators
Four subtypes at mechanoid-class threat levels.
▸ PRIMIGENIUS Standard Honju. Full squad required.
▸ PHILINOSOMA Sub-dermal armor. Hit the joints.
▸ EIRIAN Targets your walls first. Then you.
▸ SWARM LEADER The one directing the others while
you're focused on the wrong angle.
Threat Level: HIGH → EXTREME
🔴 KAIJU NO. 9 ─ Ranged Boss
Intelligent. Mobile. Shoots biological projectiles
from range and repositions before you can adjust.
Closes to melee only when it has already won.
Threat Level: BOSS
💀 KAIJU NO. 10 ─ Fortress-Type Boss
Slow. Armored. Ground stomp. Fire breath.
It does not need to hurry. It has assessed the
situation and found your defenses adequate
entertainment.
Threat Level: COLONY EXTINCTION

🧬 THE ADAPTOR SYSTEM

Certain colonists can receive the Adaptor — a biological
integration derived from Uni-Organ research. They gain:
▸ A full transformation state with custom overlay
▸ A separate health bar tracked by a HUD gizmo
▸ Combat abilities unavailable to baseline humans

Every Kaiju butchered yields Uni-Organ extract —
the biological basis for the MAD serum program.
Research unlocks four injectable combat serums:

▸ SERUM OF ARMOR Temporary damage resistance
▸ SERUM OF REGENERATION Accelerated healing
▸ SERUM OF ULTIMATE All three. Briefly.
