Commissioned in November 2017, BRP Sindangan has been involved in numerous missions in the West Philippine Sea, often escorting supply boats to contested reefs like Second Thomas Shoal (Ayungin). It has bravely endured water cannon attacks and risky maneuvers from foreign ships while safeguarding Philippine sovereignty.
