R.N. Visini | Turbine Steamer
History
Built in 1899, R.N. Visini was a test platform for the new Parson's Turbine technology and its application in small, fast coastal defense ships. Due to the low capacity of its coal bunkers, it rarely saw extended combat and all ships in the class were decommissioned by 1917 due to the lackluster performance. The knowledge gained from the Visini and its class lead to further development of coastal gunboats. This is a fictional ship with fictional history.
Operation
Enter the engine room and Ignite the boiler. Wait for the boiler to come up to temperature then wait for the pressure to hit 60 ATM. Open the steam valve and then turn on the dynamo on the electrical panel. Go to the helm and engage the telegraph slowly as to not cause the ship to accelerate too fast. the whistle should have no major affect on the speed or steam system overall.
