There is a lot of turret mods in the Workshop, and most of them introduce a ton of different types, some of which have niche uses at best, and others are often upgraded versions of the vanilla turrets to some degree or another. Foam turret aside, the following can be found in the vanilla game:
Mini-turret - standard rapid fire short range.
Auto-cannon turret - powerful, medium range gun turret.
Uranium Slug Turret - the sniper turret in all but name, slow firing long distance.
There's also the pawn-fired Rocket-swarm launcher, and pawn-manned Mortar, but these are not true turrets.
With the vanilla game covering most of the bases, there is little need for additional turrets, as the only turrets really missing from vanilla are shotgun, and laser. And given the mini-turret is a short-range turret, a shotgun turret would be surplus to requirements. Now do not get me wrong, lots of turrets can be fun, I am pretty much just explaining why I have only added two, rather than a half dozen or so like other turret based mods.

This mod is less of a turret-focused one, and rather a first step into the Glitter World Spacer Tech the vanilla game only loosely touches upon. The mod adds a Spacer Tech research, [i]Laser Technology[/i] which unlocks two laser turrets, and three energy cell based guns. They are the laser pistol, the laser rifle and the laser sniper rifle.
EDIT: Added a portable mini-laser turret coz people want nice things.
Partially a revival of a couple older mods that seems to have been lost into obscurity, and partially down to my desire to see an end-game turret that isn't ridiculously overpowered, but still viable - I present the [b]Laser Technology[/b] mod. Enjoy.
