Survival Expanded - Arctic Paradise

Even with zero available resources all hope is not yet loss. The arctic is a cold place, build a snow shelter, ignite the mysterious glittery dust for warmth, melt water to drink, and hold out for as long as able. [img]https://i.imgur.com/MkPhD2V.png[/img] The core ethos of these independent mods is "Survival, not Thrival". It will give the tools needed to not starve or parish from environmental factors. Thriving will be up to the player and the other mods they bring along the way. ZARS was created in B19 well before some of the more notable favorite mods such as Vanilla Expanded Framework, and it's time to adjust accordingly. I was having too much fun with the alpha build that I might as well upload it early and update when able. A few key differences from ZARS: Headcanon lore wise "Mineral Dust" is just immediately found and used instead of gathered, this is to remove the complexity the original mod entailed. - Partial resources are removed, this includes the sieving mechanic. - Tiny Fire is free, ice only placement, and can be used as a plant glow light with a radius of 2. - Snow Door added. - Snow Walls and Snow Doors are now compatible with vanilla walls and doors. - Fibrous Hay has been removed and is just vanilla Hay. - Growing crops can be done on arctic harvest mats. Slag boxes are now part of Bare Essentials. As expected, once obtaining crystals, one can "thrive" but with the caveat that items must be collected from elsewhere. [img]https://i.imgur.com/IJTPdFN.png[/img] Version 1.6 (Unstable) - Arctic Harvest Mats are standable and no longer interfere with the tiny fire placements. - Removed gathering spot feature of tiny fires as a quality-of-life. - Mitigated some 1.6 Unstable quirks. - Radiant walls were already part of 1.5. They add mild heat and growth light under the right conditions. - Awaiting DLC biome breakage. Version 1.5 Stuff will break as I'm creating several mods at once. Updates: - Purely focused on what ever comes your way from events and other mods. - Arctic Harvest Mats vanillafied and cross-mod compatible! Grow whatever a hydroponics can! - Crystals can now only be grown in Arctic Harvest Mats or Hydroponics. - Removal of Slag Harvest Boxes - They are relocated to "Bare Essentials" mod. - Removal of recipe Hay->Pulp - Also relocated to "Bare Essentials" mod. - (Already Done) Fixed Snow Wall defName - Arctic Harvest Mats now have fertility 120%, instead of 200%. Better than soil, but not better than slag harvest boxes. To Do - Crystal fire will NOT be added back in. Upon getting to this point one should have wood.
