20T Mineral Hopper
A light and compact hopper designed by the SRFB in 1922 for short coal runs between the quarries throughout the network. While the railway had inherited plenty of hoppers from the GSIR, the standardised hoppers were easier to use for unloading due to their precision movement mechanics. Multiple versions of this hopper would be produced in the form of a longer 40-ton hopper and covered hoppers for grains and powders.
