Ketaros Veterans

Ever wished your best colonists could live on across multiple playthroughs? Ketaros Veterans makes that possible. This mod lets you export your current colonists to a shared pool, then have them show up in future games through natural in-game events. Your experienced survivors can reappear as wanderers seeking a new home, wild men living off the land, wounded refugees in need of rescue, prisoners awaiting liberation, or even desperate souls fleeing from hostile raiders. [b]Inspiration[/b] This mod is a direct inspiration from the mod [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1718390789]VeteranColonists[/url] from [url=https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198044599324]Udon[/url], not-updated for sometime. I went in to update it, and started fixing a bunch of problems and adding a lot of new features, making life to a new mod, but I can't not mention the inspiration and base start for this project. Features [b]Export & Import[/b] - Browse your colonists in a clean table with Name, Age, and Ideology columns. - Select which colonists to export using simple checkboxes. - View all previously exported colonists with their details and an "In Game" indicator showing if they've already appeared in your current playthrough. - Colonists are sorted alphabetically for easy browsing. - Option to automatically export pawns whenever they join your colony. [b]Veteran Events[/b] Five different event types bring your veterans back into the world: - Refugee Chased — a veteran flees to your colony with raiders in pursuit. - Prisoner Rescue — rescue a captured veteran from a hostile site. - Downed Refugee — find an injured veteran at a nearby location. - Wild Man — a veteran has gone feral and roams the wilds. - Wanderer Join — a veteran simply walks in and asks to stay. [b]Full Control[/b] - Event Cycle: set how often the mod rolls for a veteran event (1 hour to 15 days). - Event Chance: configure the probability each roll actually triggers an event (0.1% to 100%). - Event Weights: adjust the relative probability of each event type independently. - All settings come with sensible defaults and clear descriptions. [b]Special Configurations[/b] - Spawn with Gear: choose whether veterans arrive with all their exported equipment and inventory, or start fresh with basic clothing. - Auto-Export on Join: automatically save colonists to the veteran pool whenever a new pawn joins your faction. [b]What Gets Preserved[/b] Skills, traits, backstory, relationships, royal titles, ideology, health conditions, and age are all carried over when a veteran appears in a new game. Getting Started 1. Open Mod Settings and find Ketaros Veterans. 2. While in-game, select colonists from the "Colonists Available" list and click Export — or enable auto-export. 3. In any save, your veterans will begin appearing through random events based on your configured timing and weights. No additional frameworks required — no Harmony, no HugsLib. Just subscribe and play. Built for RimWorld 1.6, and again, very inspired by the original VeteranColonist concept by Udon.
