I've balanced the starting items and story to fit the idea of a newly formed local tribe that splintered from one of the preexisting factions to stake their own claim on the world. I kept the age limit relatively young in the event that you want to start families with Biotech. I also recommend the fluid Ideology system for that full new colony from scratch experience.

The idea was to make the tribal start a little less of a grind (to save time IRL) and to keep it feeling vanilla, so the scenario fits in easily with the lore of Rimworld.
