A recreation of the Walter E. Disney #1 steam locomotive running on the Walt Disney World Railroad. Fair warning, when pulling a full train this locomotive usually tops out at a max speed of 15. To start the locomotive, raise the fuel level to .7 using the fuel level lever on the left side of the cab and press the ignition button. It will take time to build steam pressure, but if you want to move before that you can engage the tender motors using the button on the Right side floor of the cab. To control the train set the Reverser on the right side of the cab into any position. Note that this works as a gear system gearing the train faster at .25, .5, and .75. The closer to the middle the faster the train will go with less steam pressure. Speaking of, use the regulator valve to control the steam flow, it is recommended that you do not exceed .5 as it may cause wheel slip. The locomotive works best at around 30 psi steam pressure, to accomplish this best reduce and raise the fuel level between .5 and .8, adding water to keep the train running. If the train starts to have issues filling the boiler water, that is perfectly normal, all you have to do is reduce the boiler temperature for a minute and the water level will rise back up on its own. Something else that can help with that is turning on the boiler drain valve underneath the air brakes. To do a complete reset on the train, drop the boiler temperature and engage the blowdown valve to drain the locomotive of steam before waiting about 2 minuets and raising the temperature once again. This locomotive is designed specifically to operate with the cars I made to go with it. These cars have multiple functions including a buzzer to the cab and a E-Stop that activates the brakes on all cars and the locomotive. Have fun on the rails!
