Serpentine Industries #1 Crane Tank "Big Iron"
Big Iron was originally drawn up as just another 0-8-0 side tank engine to do basic jobs around the west side of Meier. Until it was requested that one was needed for Serpentine Industries, albeit with a few modifications from the original design to suit their new work. Those modifications were a steam crane on top of their boiler, and extended side tanks.
Big Iron got to work immediately after completion and worked great. They seemed to work even better when another engine was brought in to help around the expanding company's base of operations. However, it seems that times have changed. And Big Iron’s partner, Typhoon, was bought up by a rival company.
How to Operate:
Throttle up dampener.
Find the air valve and pull it.
Light the fire.
Wait for steam pressure to build up.
Once steam has built up, pull the regulator and go.
To reverse, pull the lever labled “reverse gear”.
To put on the brakes, pull down the regulator lever and increase the brakes.
The “left tank” and “right tank” pipes pump more water in the boiler if it is needed.

Configuration: 0-8-0CT.
Top Speed: Around 65 MPH.
Power: Around eight 7-planks.
