KRNK Mk-1 R-1 8x8 Amphibious Rescue Vehicle
📌 Description
The KRKN Mk-1 R-1 is my first fully functional all-terrain amphibious rescue vehicle — built as a universal platform for multiple mission types.
Whether you’re driving off-road, crossing rivers, or rescuing survivors during a tsunami, the R-1 is ready to handle it!
✅ Features
- 8×8 Offroad Capability: Two medium diesel engines power all wheels through simple but reliable gearing for rough terrain.
- Amphibious: Floats on water with 6 electric propellers for water propulsion.
- Self-Sufficient: Dual small engine generators keep all onboard systems powered.
- Survivor Transport: 13 seats for passengers plus medical and survival equipment onboard.
- Basic Defense: Equipped with a front-mounted quad MG for self-defense.
- Ballast System: Floodable chambers allow the vehicle to dive partially underwater to handle big waves or hide from threats.
- Flood Safety: Both the cockpit and the rear compartment are equipped with dedicated bilge pumps to quickly remove any water that enters the vehicle during heavy storms, rough seas, or damage.
- Fully Modular: Cockpit and rear compartment are separated — the rear can be swapped for different modules (Cargo, Tanker, Firefighting, Assault, Submersible).
⚙️ Tech Highlights
- Manual clutch and gear control for maximum reliability.
- Magnetic stabilizing “feet” for anchoring to the ground in rough conditions.
- Monitors for engines, generators, fuel tanks, and battery charge.
