📖 THE STORY OF MARS
[b]Year 2599 AD - The BUGS Project[/b]
Humanity sent modified cockroaches and moss to Mars to terraform the red planet. The plan was simple: the moss would produce oxygen, and the cockroaches would spread the moss across the surface. Then we'd return 500 years later to a breathable world.
[b]But evolution had other plans.[/b]
When the BUGS-2 crew landed on Mars in 2619, they found the cockroaches had evolved into 2-meter tall humanoid apex predators with strength 20 times that of humans. Worse - they had developed the [b]Mosaic Organ[/b], a biological miracle that allowed them to absorb and express DNA from any creature they consumed.
The Terra Formars became the ultimate adaptive killers. To fight back, Dr. Honda developed [b]Mosaic Surgery[/b]—implanting artificial mosaic organs into humans to grant temporary animal transformations.
