HNLMS Willem Jan Derx // Dutch guboat
HNLMS Willem Jan Derx (fictional) was a Dutch gunboat/minelayer built in 1929. In 1939 just weeks before the outbreak of WW2 the ship was refitted with better AA gun battery, and the ship´s propellers and were replaced, which were damaged in a previous grounding. When the invasion of Netherlands begun at 10th May 1940 the ship was undergoing speed trials after the refit. The ship bombarded German forces before returning to port, after which HNLMS Willem Jan Derx was ordered to move to Britain. HNLMS Willem Jan Derx stayed in Britain for some weeks before the ship was ordered to sail to the Dutch East Indies due to the threat of Japanese invasion. The last time HNLMS Willem Jan Derx was seen, was when she departed Gibraltar after getting resupplyed. HNLMS Willem Jan Derx headed around Africa, but never arrived at her next resupply point. The ship was never found, nothing has ever been recovered from her. It is speculated that the ship was sunk by a submarine, or eaven a rogue wave.
I used NMS Amiral Murgescu as my main inspiration.

How to start:
Head up to the bridge, enter the helm and press hotkey 1. The engines will start, but if you want to start/stop just 1 engine at a time use the 2 key buttons. You can also individualy controll the throttle of each engine using the throttle levers, or just controll both from the helm using W/S.
