LP (Light Propeller) "Sparrow" Mk.I
The LP "Sparrow" Mk.1 is a light push-prop aircraft.
Seating 1 person, the Sparrow includes features
including dual hard-points, which can hold packages
like extra fuel, bombs, equipment, and more.
The hardpoints come pre-loaded with an unguided
rocket pod and one radar-guided missile.
The plane features all regular avionics, such as an artificial
horizon, altimeter, speedometer and more. Taxi, Landing, Cockpit,
and Navigation lights are installed.
The aircraft can hold approximately 1700 Liters of diesel fuel,
which is able to keep you in the air at full throttle for a long time.
Startup/Takeoff Procedure
The startup procedure is pretty simple.
First, put the throttle to around 0.25
Next, turn the preferred lights on, such as taxi, and Navigation lights.
Then, enable "Rear Wheel Steering" by pressing "3" and use it with the Yaw controls
Next, use the Up/Down arrows to increase the collective slightly for taxiing.
Once you are in position for takeoff, enable parking brakes by pressing "6" and disable rear wheel steering using "3"
Then, put your collective all the way down, and throttle all the way up.
Next, release your parking brakes using "6" and use the Up/Down arrows to increase collective.
Once you are speeding up, start pulling up using "S" in W/S
Finally, once you are in the air, press "1" to raise landing gear, and then finally... YOU TOOK OFF!
Landing Procedure
Landing is a bit harder that taking off, but is still pretty simple.
First line yourself up with the runway and go pretty low to the ground.
Then, lower your landing gear once you are close to the ground.
Then, slowly lower yourself onto the runway, preferably rear first
while turning your collective down with Up/Down.
Once you are on the ground, turn your collective all the way down using Up/Down.
Next, enable your landing brakes by pressing "2"
Wait for the plane to stop, and then... YOU LANDED!
(If the plane dives nose first into the ground when landing,
there is a welding torch in the cockpit just in case.)
