M/V Turquoise

The modern sister ship of the S.S Bella, the M.V Turquoise. Bigger interior, better stability, stable lifeboats, and optimization. Feels like an upgrade. FINISHED! PLEASE COMMENT ABOUT FEATURES YOU WISH TO GET ADDED! ---------- STORY ---------- The M/V Turquoise was made after modernization in technology advanced further than before, and the current passenger lineup were starting to age. Made in 1961 by Markus Shipping Line, it improved on interior space, added more fashion, and improved all tech, adding luxurious areas all around the ship. It also became more efficient with power usage, taking less power from the batteries, allowing for a longer life span. It also became cheaper through such advancements, requiring less additions, and thus costing less, so multiple versions could be made. Not as successful as the S.S Excalibur, which was still being appreciated by all around the world, but made up for in agility, and went longer ranges, with extra luxury added within. So far this vessel has had no incidents, but who knows when that may change. :After that note, there is a current first and last incident from the M/V Turquoise. The M/V Turquoise was headed from the Uran Wind Power Plant to Olsen Bay, with 56 Passengers and 6 crew members. on the voyage a thick fog rolled in, and usually on circumstances like these ships would slow down, or stop completely to avoid a possible collision. The M/V Turquoise was on a tight time schedule with a deadline having to be met within 3 days, so it was decided to continue the high speed pace, whilst sounding the Foghorn every 20 seconds for 5 seconds. According to reports, a Sea Mine had broken off from a chain near the shore of Spycakes Base and had been pushed by the strong sea current towards the path of the M/V Turquoise, and unbeknownst to the crew, they were sailing straight at it. 14:05; the M/V Turquoise impacts the Sea Mine, causing detonation. The detonation caused 12 Passengers and 1 crew member to be killed by the initial explosion. Now, a 7 meter-wide hole is in the side of the hull, but the flooding is lessened by the inner-shell of the hull. Due to the fact that the explosion had hit the mid-section of the ship, the stabilizer was immediately rendered inoperable, and the ship rolled onto it's right side, listing 45 degrees. The lifeboat on the left side could not be lowered, so those on the deck immediately attempted to climb up the right boat, now touching the water. Unbeknownst to the scrambling crowd, another tragedy would occur where the left lifeboat snapped of its rope, and fell onto 3 people, killing them by the impact. The right lifeboat was disconnected with only 5 passengers and 2 crew on it, who disobeyed orders and immediately left the sight. The Radio Operator attempted to make a distress signal, with any ships in the nearby vicinity. 14:10; The S.S Excalibur receives a distress signal from the M/V Turquoise, 3 KM to the north. Even though this is an aging ship, it is still popular through these years, but is planned for scrap in a year. 30 years and 10 years overdue, a very costly ship. The crew decide to pickup pace, and sail through the thick fog until they approximate they are a Kilometer away. 14:16; The M/V Turquoise is now 52 degrees on it's right side, with the left lifeboat in pieces, and the right lifeboat gone missing. 2 of the remaining crew are now down below attempting to mitigate the flooding, with the assistance of 4 volunteer passengers. The final crew member stays in the upper decks, helping passengers get their way up to the decks, and onto the side of the ship. 14:22; the S.S Excalibur has come within 500 meters of the sinking vessel, and is now traveling at a steady 4 knots to avoid colliding with the already bitter sinking wreck. The nearby remote community of a fishing island has also heard the distress calls over radio, and have sent rowing boats, and other small motor boats to help ferry passengers out to safety. The M/V Turquoise is now 65 degrees on it's right side, and now it is becoming increasingly clear that it is not righting itself. The 2 crew and 4 volunteer passengers are now attempting to get out from the lower decks. Another passenger has drowned, and another dead from Hypothermia. 14:23; the S.S Excalibur finally arrives at the scene, the crew and many passengers looking with awe and shock at the almost fully overturned sinking wreck of the M/V Turquoise. The Crew of the Excalibur lower their lifeboats and begin rowing towards the sinking ship to aid passengers off of it and onto the Excalibur. They also help survivors up the boarding ladders. The fishing island boats are also helping with the evacuation, and a nearby Hospital Ship has heard the distress calls, and are arriving slowly through the fog to aid any survivors. 14:29; the evacuation is fully complete, with attempts to collect the bodies being finished, and the S.S Excalibur sounds its horn in a final fair well to the then though hopeless wreck. 14:34; the M/V Turquoise hits the sea bed, still somewhat sticking out of the water. CASUALTY COUNT: 15 confirmed dead, 8 missing (7 on lifeboat, 1 unknown) ((23 total)) As it became tomorrow, a salvage team was sent to the wreck, seeing that they could right the ship upright and tow it to a nearby port for full repairs and changes so that it can be sent to service once more. An Inquiry was also held to see the main cause of this incident, but no clear answer has been achieved. The main reasoning has been that the ship had struck a Sea Mine, but other theories suggest torpedoes, but this has not been proven. The S.S Excalibur and its crew have been hailed heroes of the wreck, and publicly appreciated. After 12 days of attempting to get the M/V Turquoise upright, there is success, and the ship is subsequently towed to the nearest harbor, and repaired, and within 2 months is back into service. ---------- How To Sink -Go into the main staircase area and look for a key that says "Mystery Key"- DO NOT REPUBLISH WITHOUT FORMAL PERMISSION AND CREDITING.
