Caterpillar 3408 Turbo Diesel V8
This is reproduction of a Caterpillar 3408 V8, by SRX Inc.
The 3409 was a poweful turbo diesel 4-stroke V8 produced in the 1970s and 1980s.
It was used in a variety of applications, including marine vessels, on and off highway trucks, and generators, being the largest displacement highway truck engine Caterpillar has ever produced.
Specs:
- 18 liters, 1100cu
- 675HP
- 2,000+ lb-ft of torque
This engine uses the All-New MECH ALPHA II ECM from V-Force.
While you can use this in anything of your choosing, i built and tested this engine using the [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3384616003] Fingo TX9980 Glider Kit [/url] ,it does fit nicely in a TX9980, as seen in the above picture.
