AAV MAVERICK DRONE VARIATION (ORIGINAL)
LORE: The AAV Maverick is an electric amphibious assault APC. This particular variant is the original vehicle I made on this platform. The platform is based off of the US Marine's new ACV-30. My version carries a kamikaze drone and a light auto cannon. Its main role is to carry troops from point A to point B safely, whether that is over land or water it does not matter. It is lovingly nicknamed the MUTT by its crew since it has its smoke launchers on free pivots, which can get very annoying and resembles the floppy ears of a dog. MUTT also stands for Many Ugly Tip Trips, referring to its likelihood to tip over in the water. Since its introduction into the Sawyer Marines in 2013 it has been praised and attacked by many politicians. Its protection for the crew and redundancy in systems has always been good, as well as the ability to be stealthy. Covert headlights, the drone, and the quiet drive system of the electrical drive train allows it to complete missions and maintain stealth and not be detected by enemy forces even when operating behind enemy lines. However things are not all good, many people have critiqued that it has too low of ground clearance for off road operations, as well as the fact that it has a short range due to the low fuel and battery storage. It cannot go very far without having to be refueled for its 2 generators. People have also critiqued its low stability in water, claiming it is far too top heavy to be effective in the water, let alone high waves and rough seas. Even with these many shortcomings the AAV MAVERICK or MUTT has served the Sawyer Marines well, and will continue to for multiple more years with its usefulness resurfacing as the large defense contractor ryo1940 builds the new LSD-46, which will come into service this year and will require an AAV to reach full operational capability. And seeing as how the AAV MAVERICK won the contract it will likely be in service for many more years and will flip in the water with many more crews. Word has it that maybe, just maybe, the up and coming company "Blue Horizons" might just buy some and create a new variant... just rumors I suppose.

PS: The drone is not mine, I made a few modifications (Mostly because I accidentally broke it multiple times) but it is mostly unchanged, most notable change is the subtraction of the HUD.
