Screw-Steamer Amaranth |SINKABLE|
The Screw-Steamer Amaranth - First of Amaranth Class, Cargo Freighter.
------------------
STORY
------------------
Made in 1942 by the Markus Shipping Line, The S.S Amaranth was primarily made to transport cargo across The Great Isles, and even to the Arctic.
First of the Amaranth Class, the primary and only use was to transport cargo. Ballasts were fitted to decrease buoyancy with the main issue being it was too buoyant.
This vessel used a boiler to ignite and allow fuel to the engine, but a wired process that allows a second button at the bridge to initiate the process.
The cabin quality was not good, with there being random chairs, broken arm rests, uncolored plates, and a crammed sleeping room next to machinery made it not good quality living conditions, but was a replaceable vessel due to its low price, which also came at a cost, which includes any type of watertight bulkhead, which none existed on this ship. Therefore, flooding could become prevalent. Frostbite and Pneumonia was a major risk due to the fact there were no heaters installed, with the only source of heat being the exhaust, and the boiler firebox room. Only Arctic clothing minimized the effects of the cold. This vessel did not have a good track record.
The first incident came when the S.S Amaranth collided with a Shrimp Boat in extremely foggy weather, which caused the shrimp boat to fall below water level with excessive flooding going within the decks. The Amaranth had a damaged bow, which was later fixed at port.
The second incident was when there was a power outage, and a spark in the 4th Cargo Compartment, which burned 2/3rds of the cargo in No.4 Compartment.
The third incident had the No.1 Compartment hatch crumble under extreme water pressure from stormy weather, which forced the crew to immediately turn to the nearest coast of St. Sebastiaz Hospital, and grounds itself onto the shore. The water had increased by that time, but thanks to the actions of the crew, the ship remained afloat.

This is a Cargo Freighter. It can be refueled, but there is no cargo crane, so this will have to be manually loaded cargo.
Amaranth is a color.

EDIT :There is now a button called "Flood Compartments" which is a scuttle feature. It is hidden behind equipment, so you will need to find it.
