This mod adds two recipes to Vanilla Books Expanded's writer and type writer table.
1. Write base game novel
This is certainly a worthy endeavor but it does take a lot of work and time. Not quite as much as writing a text book, but still.
If you would like to create fictional reading material faster and cheaper, here's another option:
2. Write penny dreadful
Penny dreadfuls cost fewer resources and are quicker to produce. They are also worth less and deteriorate faster than novels. Readers will gain half the joy they would get out of a novel of the same quality.
An author's speed when writing a fictional book depends on their intellectual capability but the quality of the product is determined by their artistic skill. (Note that the bill option 'Do until X' doesn't work for either recipe.)
Credits
To create the penny dreadful textures I used the main texture of the base game novel (thanks to Mlie's Save Thing As Image) plus textures of Anomaly's tome for help and guidance.
To create the RulePackDefs for names and descriptions of penny dreadfuls I started out with the rules for the base game novel and adapted them. And then I went down the metaphorical rabbit hole, threw stuff out and put some more stuff in and made a bunch of new rules. The writing quality sentences stayed basically the same with some minor tweaks.
